Sinulog Festival in Cebu City is Warming Up This 2009

On January 18, 2009, the main streets of Cebu City will then again be closed to give way to Sinulog Festival in Cebu City, the grandest street parade in Metro Cebu and the region. During this time until the grand parade, different contingents and schools will be performing at the Fuente Osmeňa circle. Novena mass is regularly

Sinulog Festival in Cebu City is the grandest and most awaited parade in Cebu City. It was officially launched yesterday, January 9, 2009, and a mass was celebrated by Msgr. Roberto Alesna,

Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral rector, at the Basilica del Sto. Niňo pilgrim center.

Brought by Spanish influence and the Roman Catholic Church, the Sinulog Festival in Cebu City is held every 3rd Sunday of January annualy as an offering to the patron saint Sr. Sto Niňo.

January 10, Saturday - Sunulog sa Kabataan - Lalawigan

1pm - Parade of PArticipants, Capitol Site to Cebu City Sports Center
2pm - Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Lalawigan, Cebu City Sports Center
430 pm - awarding of Winners
730pm - Cultural Show (Fuente Osmena) DepEd-cebu Province
930pm - Street Party Band

January 11, Sunday - Sinulog sa Kabataa n - Dakbayan

1pm Parade of PArticipants, Plaza Independencia to Sports Center
2pm - Sinulog sa Kabataan sa Dakbyab, Cebu City Sports Center
430 pm - Awarding of Winners
7pm - Cultural Show (Fuente Onsmena)
9pm - Street Party Bands
